Cleanroom packaging Grade-4

Surface Treatment has the capability to provide cleanroom packaging in accordance with Grade 4, which is essential for ensuring the cleanliness and quality of high-tech products. This packaging process is widely used in the semiconductor industry, medical technology, and other high-tech industries where even minimal contamination can have serious consequences. Immediately after processing, the products are packaged in a controlled environment in double plastic bags. In this way, external influences such as dust, dirt, or moisture cannot affect product quality. At our customers’ facilities, the products are unpacked again in a controlled environment and, if necessary, further cleaned to achieve a higher level of cleanliness (for example Grade 2) before being assembled further. 

The applied Grade 4 refers to a specific cleanliness standard within cleanrooms, comparable to ISO Class 7. Proper packaging of products according to this standard prevents particles and contaminants from affecting the functionality of sensitive equipment.
For Grade 4 packaging, materials are used that do not release particles and are compatible with the cleanroom environment. These include special plastic bags and films that comply with the ISO Class 7 standard.
