Applying masking

The surface treatments we perform are primarily based on aluminum products. All parts that are not made of aluminum or titanium, such as helicoils and inserts, will be affected during surface treatment if they are not masked, which will result in the product being rejected. Preferably, helicoils, inserts, and other non-aluminum parts should be installed after the surface treatment. As this is not always possible, we will review the masking options together with our customers. 

Products often have multiple functionalities, which means that different requirements may apply to a single product. As a result, it may be necessary to apply multiple surface treatments to one product, requiring certain areas to be masked. Surface Treatment specializes in applying different types of surface treatments to a single product. Various masking techniques are available for this purpose, each with its own specific advantages and disadvantages. Surface Treatment has experienced engineers who work together with our customers to find a suitable solution.
