Phosphoric-Sulfuric Acid (PSA) anodizing is a specialized anodizing technique that creates a thin, porous oxide layer on aluminum. This layer is often used as a pre-treatment for the application of adhesive primers, providing excellent adhesion for glues and additional coatings. PSA anodizing is frequently applied for clients in the aerospace industry who demand the highest material performance standards.

During the PSA process, aluminum is immersed in an electrolytic bath containing a phosphoric and sulfuric acid solution. By applying an electrical current, a uniform oxide layer is formed, enhancing the surface properties of the material.
